Lalawood Closing Party

Thank you for visiting Lalawood

We, the Lalala’s, are very grateful for the many visitors having walked around in Lalawood. We hope you had a great Ego trip with some sort of identification/recognition in it regarding pride and ego in Second Life / Life  and how silly it is when you take a little distance and put all in the perspective of seeing better what really matters in your life and and how letting go of too much ego makes your life more pleasant. Too much food, too much alcohol, too much drugs, too much addiction, too much talk, too much hate, too much love, too much care, too much time, too much of so many things just is never the best way. Too little the same of course. So keep it all a bit moderate, to stay sane says Dr. LaLa. To be called anarchic and unconventional we took as compliment since that’s what our aim was, not excluding ourselves from anything either. We do not feel better or wiser than others. This concerns us all and we all can be in this state of too much ego.

We like to thank our friendly and flexible hosts of last month, Aneli Abeyante and Vroum Short from La Maison d’Aneli and Vegetal Planet. Their support and granting space and prims were very encouraging and nice.

Closing Party

Whatever I am myself, a false prophet, a mean snake, a charming collaborator, a divine egoist or despicable Me,  Lalawood will close soon and we asked our very own LALAWOOD WARRIOR miss JADEYU FHANG to make a music set for a closing party. Jade is good at music sets with a great impact, with a music choice I really admire and like myself. Not sure if this remark is good for her Ego level, but we will take care of that in case she thinks to be safe for our ego guillotine treatment.  She is French so I am sure she appreciates the old effective way of killing it :P   Revolutions are like that, even when you are the best and most passionate DJ around the grid :)

Egoism versus false modesty

A maybe silly or peculiar thing before I end this blog, but I always battle with listing names in collaborations like this. If I put myself as first it feels like being an egoist, If I put myself as last it can be seen as false modesty. I would like to be able to write in circles for that reason, to have no top or down in listings. What I did when going public with Lalawood via notecards, blogs,  facebook and flickr, was use variations in listing the names. Deliberately, to not look  like a God of gods in any way. That felt like the best way.

I guess such a choice could be called too much being aware of something everyone will understand, namely us being a collaboration and of equal value, but still. Let me thank you all for having been in our collaboration. It was a fun project with fun moments together.

And I found a way to write in circles! King Arthur would like it I am sure. It is my way to say  thank you to the collaboration group in the non-ego way. Every contribution counts and therefore I will only encourage the next time and let you do all the hard work. Seems like a fair deal after so many (too many??) compliments I gave and gratitude I showed.  Oops, is this my Ego showing its true face? Damn, I never learn!  Oh and let’s not forget:  ‘You all were amaaaaaazing, aaaaaawesome and fantaaaaastic.’  Seriously, thank you Beam and Burner, Iono, Jade, Theda and err me.  This was the alphabetical way of listing names. I already started being lazy by the way because I used an online service to write in circles and now need to attribute to it for that reason, so here we go: The circle design was created with MockoFUN.  It is a very LaLa service. If that is a compliment or not I will leave to your own imagination and judgement :)

Selfie Gallery

We also thank the visitors for taking selfies at Lalawood and leaving them in the slideshow on scene.
I took the liberty to download them all and put them in a slideshow here as well. Sound on please:)

Perfect songs to end with

It is almost magic to find 2 perfect songs of the same artist fitting in with Lalawood  but it really is like that and I like to end this blog with both songs. Willy William with EGO and LaLaLa. The Ego song tells what Lalawood means. The Lalala song fits because we chose for lala words as fun element in our installation.

Mirror
Tell me who is the most beautiful
Leaves to become megalomaniac
Come and tickle my ego
Go Go go
Let me enter your matrix
Taste your delights
No one can dissuade me
Go Go go
I will do everything to accompany you
So I’m stubborn
I’m in my bubble
Go Go go
Everything is beautiful, everything is pink
As long as I impose it
Tell me who is the most beautiful
Go Go go
Go Go go
Mirror
What are you doing with my head?
This dishonest transformation
This is not what i asked
Go Go go
The buzz was only dummy
I am no longer in the matrix
There’s no one left to talk about it
Go Go go
I will do everything to recover
What i’m wasting
Finally out of my bubble
Go Go go
Everything is beautiful, everything is pink
Before my ego takes hold
I finished watching you
Go Go go
Go Go go
Go Go go
Ego, Ego
Ego, Ego
Ego, Ego, ego-ego, ego-ego, ego-ego, ego-ego
Ego, Ego
Ego, Ego
Yee-ha!
Go Go go
Go Go go
Go Go go
Go Go go
Go Go go
